Nawaz Sharif’s guards attack the cameraman

News Desk |

The guards of Nawaz Sharif attacked the cameraman of a private news channel and brutally injured him today (Monday).

According to the details, Wajid Ali, a cameraman of a private news channel while performing his duty, was filming Nawaz Sharif as he was leaving the Parliament House when guards of former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif started beating him until he got unconscious. In a critically injured condition with the nose and mouth bleeding, MR. Ali was shifted to Poly Clinic Islamabad.

Journalists held a protest sit-in outside the parliament building against the incident, blocking Parliament’s Gate No.1 entrance.

The video of the incident shows the guards chasing the cameraman, who ran to save himself but was eventually overpowered and brought to the ground with kicks to the face.

The journalists at the occasion caught one of the guards before he could escape and handed him over to the Parliament House security. Another guard managed to flee.

Reacting to the incident, Information Minister Fawad Chaudhry commented that even though the days of being in government were over for PMLN, the mogul mindset and approach of PMLN hadn’t changed. He urged the PMLN leadership not to bother poor people of the country.
