NLC celebrates Eid at children’s hospitals across Pakistan

NLC distributed thousands of gift packs at government hospitals in Karachi, Lahore, Islamabad, and Rawalpindi. Hospital administrations and parents appreciated this act and hoped this would inspire others.

The National Logistics Cell (NLC) distributed Eid gifts among children at government hospitals in Karachi, Lahore, Islamabad, and Rawalpindi. Children, mostly admitted to government hospitals for medical treatment, were ecstatic to receive eid gift packs from NLC. The gift packs from NLC included colouring books, colour pencils, Rubik’s cube, and other stationery.

Thousands of gift packs were distributed at The Children’s Hospital in Lahore, Benazir Children’s Hospital, Holy Family Hospital in Rawalpindi, the Children’s Hospital Gulshan-e-Iqbal, and also at the Omair Sana Foundation Hospital in Karachi. It was a cheerful sight at these hospitals as the children were elated upon receiving eid gifts.

Dr. Raza, the deputy medical superintendent of the Lahore Children’s Hospital (the 2nd largest children’s hospital in the world) said, “This was a surprising act of kindness for these children. It made their eid special”. Hospital administrations and parents appreciated this act and hoped this would inspire others.

A statement released by NLC’s Corporate Communications department read, “As a responsible corporate entity, NLC has always believed in giving back to the society, and also in an inclusive tomorrow. We realise that these children need our encouragement, and we are glad that we were able to add some colours to their eid with the help and support of hospital staff and administration”.

NLC’s valuable contribution

Pertinent to mention, NLC has contributed remarkably to Pakistan’s nation-building efforts due to the timely completion of important projects. Furthermore, NLC continues to play its role in boosting economic activities in the country.

It runs one of Pakistan’s largest dry cargo operations covering more than 100 destinations. Additionally, NLC is the first logistics organization in Pakistan to establish market connectivity through land routes under Transports Internationaux Routiers (TIR). This made Pakistan the 78th country to join TIR.
