Prime Minister Imran Khan has appreciated the success of Pakistan Citizen Portal (PCP) application internationally. The PCP has been ranked the second-best Government mobile applications out of 4646 mobile apps from 87 countries nominated at World Government Summit in Dubai for an award.

He took to Twitter and praised the massive success of complaint cell established at his office.

“Creating a direct link with the people to provide for the resolution of their problems has led to the incredible success of my complaint cell in the PM Office,” he tweeted.

The mobile application of Indonesia stood first while USA’s mobile application stood third in the list.

The Pakistan Citizen Portal is the 7th most search application according to the Google Search category. It has received 4.5 ratings by the users.

PM Khan said Pakistan Citizens’ Portal will enable the government to understand the performance of ministries and departments. Secondly, future policies will be made after getting public response and feedback.

The application was designed by the group of developers from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa free of cost in 45 days. Since its launch on October 28th, the government has addressed 250,000 registered complains out of 420,000 with 55% rate of satisfaction from the people.

Akif Khan led the team and represented Pakistan at World Government Summit. He said that the success of PCP reflects its efficiency in service delivery.

The main objective of the mobile application is to build the bridges between the people and the federal and provincial government. The intention is to swiftly address the grievances of the general public that otherwise consumes a long time to be tackled when filed through traditional channels of complaint registration.

With the introduction of the Pakistan Citizen Portal, the government wants to beef up the e-governance system setup in Pakistan that is currently at its primary stage.
