One of Bollywood’s most loved on-screen couples -Katrina Kaif and Salman Khan- are ready to set the box office on fire once again with their sixth outing, ‘Bharat’. Katrina and Salman have some blockbusters films like ‘Ek Tha Tiger’, ‘Tiger Zinda Hai’ and ‘Partner’ to their credit but the actress feels neither she nor Salman take their pairing or their fans for granted when they are on set.
Pakistani American actor Kumail Nanjiani has boarded the upcoming Marvel pic ‘The Eternals’. Said to be a one of its kind intergalactic saga, the new Marvel movie will be one of the first films released after the highly awaited Avengers: Endgame. The movie comes from The Rider director Chloe Zhao who has been tapped to bring the comic book superheroes of the titular name to life.
Nanjiani is best known for The Big Sick, a semi-autobiographical romcom he wrote with his wife about their relationship. The film was nominated for Best Original Screenplay at the 2017 Academy Awards and established the Sillicon Valley star as a force to be reckoned with. This undoubtedly also landed him on the 2018 Time’s Most Influential List.

This project will be his first foray into superhero fare, and it is not announced which role he will play. The project based on the 1976 comic book of the same name, features the superpowered and near-immortal beings known as Eternals and a more monstrous offshoot known as the Deviants that were created by cosmic beings known as Celestials.
Also joining him in the film is Oscar winner and Maleficent star Angelina Jolie. While there has been no official confirmation, Jolie is understood to be playing the character named Sersi, a more outgoing Eternal who has not been afraid to move amongst humankind. Popular Korean actor Ma-Dong Seok is also joining the cast though his role is under the wraps for now.
The Eternals is likely going to be a big budget flick for Marvel considering the only Eternal MCU has introduced thus far, Thanos, is a major player in the franchise and a popular character. The film is currently looking for the male lead who play Jolie’s paramour. On the TV side, Nanjiani has starred in HBO’s comedy Sillicon Valley for a number of years now and most recently appeared in the debut episode of Jordan Peele’s Twilight Zone reboot.

He is also creating a show for Apple about immigrants with his wife Emily Gordon. Next the actor will star alongside Liam Neeson and Thor: Ragnarok stars Chris Hemsworth and Tessa Thompson in the Men In Black reboot, Men In Black: International, releasing this June. He is also set to appear in a comedy with Guardians of the Galaxy star Dave Bautista in Stuber, coming out this July.
