Pakistani celebrities upheld the decision of the Supreme Court of Pakistan regarding the elections to be held in Punjab on 14th May.
In a landmark decision, the Supreme Court of Pakistan rejected the decision of the Election Commission of Pakistan to delay the elections in Punjab following the dissolution of the provincial assembly.
Actor and singer Farhan Saeed appreciated the decision by Chief Justice of Pakistan Umar Ata Bandiyal on the elections in Punjab. “14th May! The day when the People of Punjab will speak, inshAllah. The decision has been announced by a three-member bench comprising Chief Justice of Pakistan (CJP) Umar Ata Bandial, Justice Ijazul Ahsan, and Justice Munib Akhtar, which heard the PTI petition against the ECP.
The reserved verdict is being celebrated by PTI which has been actively campaigning for elections. Pertinent to mention that on PTI Chief Imran Khan’s advice, the Punjab and KP assemblies were dissolved in the first place.
