Pakistani celebrities nominated for Most Beautiful/Handsome faces contest

Several Pakistani celebrities have been nominated for the TC Candler’s list of 100 Most Beautiful/Handsome faces of 2022.

Several Pakistani celebrities have been nominated for the TC Candler’s list of 100 Most Beautiful/Handsome faces of 2022.

The actors include Ayeza Khan, Sajal Aly, Neelum Muneer, Fawad Khan, and Imran Abbas. TC Candler, described as ‘the creator of the Annual Independent Critics List of the 100 Most Beautiful Faces of the Year’, announced the nominations on its Instagram page that had 1.2 million followers. Voting will determine who will make it to the actual list of the nominees. Last year, Turkish actress Hande Ercel won the contest with 9168 votes.

Pakistani actors are making waves globally with their spectacular work. Pakistani movie Javed Iqbal has been selected for the prestigious Berlin Film Festival. Filmmaker Abu Aleeha announced the selection of the film for the film festival on Twitter.

Film Javed Iqbal has been banned from screening in Pakistan. The film, however, is making waves in the international film festivals. Last month the movie bagged two awards at the 24th UK Asian Film Festival.

Pakistan’s biopic telefilm, ‘Aik Hai Nigar’ wins big in the category of Best Asian Film at the prestigious Septimius Awards in Amsterdam, Netherlands.

The biopic telefilm Aik Hai Nigar depicts the life events of Pakistan’s first female Lieutenant general. The telefilm was a production venture of Mahira Khan as she appeared in the titular role in the film.

The film features the struggles in the personal life and career achievements of Lt Gen Nigar Johar. Actor Bilal Ashraf played the character of her husband Johar Ali Khan. Aik Hai Nigar depicts the bravery, courage, and emotions of Lt Gen Nigar Johar. The acclaimed film had garnered widespread appreciation from audiences in Pakistan.

In May, a Pakistani movie featuring a daring portrait of a transgender dancer in the Muslim country on Friday won the Cannes “Queer Palm” prize for best LGBT, “queer” or feminist-themed movie, the jury head told AFP.

“Joyland” by director Saim Sadiq, a tale of the sexual revolution, tells the story of the youngest son in a patriarchal family who is expected to produce a baby boy with his wife.
