Pakistani Martial Artist Irfan Mehsud has set 22 Guinness World Records in one year. By this, Irfan Mehsud has broken the record of 12 countries. He has set up the world record for most push-ups in the world.

He also created records with weights of 100 pounds, 80 pounds, 60, and 40 pounds. Mehsud belongs to the South Waziristan tribal area of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. He has been nominated for the Presidential Award for Pride of Performance 2023 for his outstanding performance. Irfan Mehsud has broken the 12 world record of India. He has broken the world records of many countries including the USA, UK, Italy, Philippines, and Iraq.

Irfan Mehsud holds a total of 51 Guinness World Records. “My aim through breaking records is to promote my region of Waziristan while also advocating a healthy lifestyle and staying active. I hope to achieve a total of fifty record titles,” he said while talking to the media a few months ago.

He said he trains for four to five hours daily for every record until he believes he can break the record he is aiming for.

Earlier this year, he broke the record of Egypt’s Mahmoud Mohamed Ayoub in jumping jacks. Mehsud broke his record of most jumping jacks in a minute with a weight of 40lb pack. Mohamed Ayoub had done 89 jumping jacks in one minute.

“I broke his record by doing 94 jumping jacks in one minute. I have been practicing wushu since 2005. I was inspired by seeing videos of record holders and reading several editions of the Guinness World Records book and worked towards record titles of my own,” he said.

In June 2021, he set the 43rd Guinness World Record for the most push-ups (one leg raised carrying a 100lb pack) in one minute. “I broke France’s Eric Lejeune’s record to achieve the feat. Eric had made 31 in one minute while I did 43,” Mehsood said.
