Rawalpindi police have sought assistance from Punjab Forensic Science Agency (PFSA) and the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) with an analysis of the laptop computer and mobile phones of a couple held on charges of sexually assaulting 45 girls and selling their obscene videos to porn website.

The accused couple, identified as Qasim Jahangir and Kiran Mehmood, has allegedly confessed to the sexual assault of 45 girls, taking their photographs and making videos of at least 10 victims.

While continuing their investigation into the sexual assault of a university student whose complaint led the police to arrest the couple, the investigators said that the police will interview people close to the male suspect, as they believe he is concealing information that could help reveal his facilitators.

The police official had earlier said that the couple had sold the videos and photos to an international porn website.

During the preliminary investigation, Dawn reported, the suspect told the police that he was using two mobile phones. However, the police later discovered the third mobile phone and sent to the IT section to obtain its call data records (CDR).

The paper said that the male suspect holds a master’s degree in history and is an IT expert, adding that he used to work in car sales before giving it up. He married a nurse at a private hospital two years ago.

“The FIA’s legal expert will review the police request and then they will cross-examine the accused,” a senior police official told the paper. He said the police suspect that the man may have shared pornographic videos with someone abroad, but this has yet to be confirmed.

The police have so far recovered 10 pornographic videos from the suspect’s mobile phone and sent them to the PFSA for analysis.

Rawalpindi Couple held for Selling Obscene Videos of Girls to Porn Website

Shocking as it may seem, Rawalpindi police had arrested the couple on charges of their alleged involvement in the kidnapping, sexually abusing, blackmailing, taking photos & filming obscene videos of 45 girls and selling the same to a porn website.

City Police Officer (CPO) Mohammad Faisal Rana had said that the action was taken soon after a complaint was lodged on August 3 by an MSc student of Allama Iqbal Open University.

The complainant informed the police that she was abducted from outside the Gordon College Rawalpindi by the couple. In her complaint, she said the woman pretended to be a fellow student, saying her ‘brother’ was coming to pick her.

CPO Rana had directed the officials concerned to identify the accused in the videos and pictures, and lodge a separate case for each incident.

A few minutes later, she said, a man arrived in a car and the woman suddenly pushed her inside the vehicle while threatened her with a knife to silence her. The student said that the couple took her to a house in Gulistan Colony where Qasim – the husband – allegedly raped her while Kiran – the wife – took photos and recorded video.

She said the couple threatened and blackmailed her and showed her sexually explicit video. Later at night, the couple dropped her on Tipu Road.
