Quetta video scandal: DIG vows strict action against Hidayat Khilji

Quetta police arrested suspects Hidayatullah Khilji and his brother Khalil for abducting and raping girls in Balochistan. Hidayat Khilji also made inappropriate videos of the girls and blackmailed them. The disturbing videos surfaced on social media as well.

Deputy Inspector General (DIG) of Quetta Police vows to take strict action against the suspects involved in the Quetta video scandal. DIG Quetta also said that the suspects will face severe punishment.

To clarify, Quetta police arrested suspects Hidayatullah Khilji and his brother Khalil for abducting and raping girls in Balochistan. Hidayat Khilji also made inappropriate videos of the girls and blackmailed them. The disturbing videos surfaced on social media as well.

The incident initially came to light on 2nd December when a woman filed a complaint with the police regarding the abduction of her two daughters. She blamed Hidayat and his brother for the abduction. The Police immediately arrested the suspects after registering cases against them. During the raid, the Police found laptops and mobile phones containing obscene videos of the girls.

Police claimed that the accused raped the girls after luring them into the trap by offering jobs. They revealed that the accused intoxicated the girls before raping them.

Important to note, this is not the first time Hidayat Khilji has been accused of such an act. According to an official statement by the Balochistan Police, back in 2020, police arrested Hidayat. However, the girl claimed to be Hidayat’s wife (it remains unclear whether Khilji forced the girl to make the claims or not). As a result, Hidayat was released.

However, this time around, the DIG Quetta Fida Hussain is personally overseeing the case, ensuring strict punishment for the culprits.

Hang the rapist: Twitter in anger

Moreover, reports on social media surfaced claiming that Hidayatullah raped and made videos of around 200 girls. Regarding this, DIG Quetta said they are waiting for the forensic results from Punjab which will confirm the actual number.

The DIG also said that the girls left Pakistan for Afghanistan. However, authorities are coordinating with the Afghan government for the girls’ return so that a medical examination can be conducted.

Needless to say, Twitter is furious. With “Hidayat_the_Rapist” trending since last night, Twitteratis called for the public hanging of the culprits. Even a Baloch tribal leader demanded that instead of courts, the tribe will deal with Khilji in a befitting manner.
