Quratulain Baloch urges people to protest on streets for PM Imran Khan

“Can we all come out and reject this decision? What kind of democracy is this where the people’s votes have no value over the MNAs who can easily sell out their souls and their countrymen," said Quratulai Baloch.

Singer, Quratulain Baloch, urges people to come out on the streets and protest against the decision of the Supreme Court for PM Imran Khan. She expressed her displeasure over the decision given by Supreme Court against Prime Minister Imran Khan and the ruling party, PTI.

She slammed the  floor-crossing done by the parliamentarians. The singer denounced them for selling out their souls in exchange for money. Baloch reiterated her support for PM Imran Khan and urged people to do so as well.

“Can we all come out and reject this decision? What kind of democracy is this where the people’s votes have no value over the MNAs who can easily sell out their souls and their countrymen. I stand with Imran Khan and for your own sake, Stand up for yourself,” said Quratulain Baloch in her tweet.

The singer is receiving mixed reviews on social media. Some supported her while others slammed her for talking against the Supreme Court and its decision. She was slammed for defending PM Imran Khan.

Yesterday, before the verdict of the Supreme Court, actor Shaan Shahid had hoped that the decision will be given in favor of the fresh elections to end the political chaos. “Early elections the way forward InshaALLAH Supreme Court will break the political deadlock ..Pakistan moving forward,” said Shaan Shahid.

The decision of the Supreme Court left the opposition parties overjoyed while the supporters of the ruling party were left shocked and upset.

In a landmark verdict, the SC retained the opposition’s no-trust motion against PM Khan. Needless to say, the decision caused quite the storm in Pakistan. Legal experts also began weighing in on the decision.

Former Attorney General of Pakistan (AGP) Anwar Mansoor states that the Supreme Court (SC) decision on the no-confidence motion (NCM) would have been different if the threat letter was presented in court.

The apex court ordered the reinstatement of the prime minister and the federal cabinet besides restoring the NA proceeding’s scenario before the deputy speaker’s ruling given on April 3.
