Bollywood’s famous duo Shah Rukh Khan and Kajol are anticipated to be a part of the sequel of Hindi Medium 2, while Pakistan’s Saba Qamar will reportedly be not a part of the sequel of Hindi Medium.
Earlier, Pakistan’s Saba Qamar and Indian actor Irrfan Khan have played  the role of the lead couple in the movie, however, the filmmakers have now roped in Bollywood’s popular couple Shah Rukh Khan and Kajol and as per the news circulating on media, they both have started the script reading sessions with the team.

Hindi Medium 1 was a Bollywood debut for Pakistan’s Saba Qamar. The flawless actress of Pakistan perfectly essayed her role as the female lead in the movie that garnered her massive appreciation from the critics in India. The movie also won the accolade of Film Fare. Hindi Medium 2 will be flash forward by a decade. The film will feature in Irrfan Khan as Raj while Pia has finished high school in Hindi Medium and figuring what to do next.
Irrfan Khan will also be a part of the second installment of Hindi Medium 2. The actor will reprise his role in the new story that will reportedly be set in the US. King Khan and Kajol had appeared on-screen together in several films including Dilwale, Kabhi Khushi Kabhi Gham, Dilwale Dhulaniya, My Name is Khan.
Earlier hearsay had suggested that Sara Ali Khan will be playing the role of the daughter in the sequel, however, as of yet, the news remains unconfirmed. ‘Hindi Medium’ director Saket Choudhary will not be directing the second installment of the movie but Homi Adajani will replace him who has directed movies like Cocktail and Finding Fanny.

Dinesh Vijan (Maddock films) says, “Homi doesn’t make films very often as he refuses to do stuff that doesn’t bowl him over. But when I narrated this one to him, he loved it. And when I saw his reaction, it was a no-brainer. I guess from Maddock’s stable of directors, Homi was the most unlikely choice for Hindi Medium 2. That’s exactly why I have signed him on.”
Homi added, “I ambled into Dino’s (Dinesh Vijan) room and he was sitting down to a narration. I had enjoyed the first one and the way these writers have taken the narrative forward is very clever. So yeah, I pretty much gate-crashed the narration. It was so engaging and hilarious that I told him I’d be happy to direct it if he had no director attached to the project. It’s been a while since I’ve found any material so amusing yet emotional,” he said.

Although Shahrukh Khan and Kajol are a powerful on-screen couple, if they will be able to pull it as good as Saba Qamar and Irrfan did in Hindi Medium 1, can only be observed after release.
