A MNA of the Federally Administered Tribal Areas in the assembly, Shah Jee Gull Afridi, explained that the matter was resolved by a committee which was headed by him. He further stated that the committee had decided to dismiss the proposed ban on both party representatives.

The fight broke out on Mach 9 between the two legislators when the PMl-N’s Javed Latif called Imran Khan a traitor in response to latter’s remarks regarding foreign cricket players, participating in the PSL final in Lahore.

Latif had also remarked that the PTI chairman and his leaders had no ethical sense at all. Later, PML-N’s Javed Latif slapped PTI’s Murad Saeed outside the NA floors. Saeed as a response punched the PML-N representative in his face. It was later revealed that Murad Saeed did this because of vulgar comments made by Javed Latif about his female relatives.

Javed Latif had also threatened PTI lawmaker with dire consequences if he does not mend his ways. PTI MNA Arif Alvi has severely criticized PML-N lawmaker and on March 10th National Assembly session called for banning him.

The efforts of the committee in solving the issue between the two lawmakers were applauded by Murtaza Javed Abbasi, Sheikh Rasheed Ahmad, Dr Arif Alvi, Mina Manan and Ijaz Jakhrani.
