Shahid Afridi interacts with old lady who could not recognize him

The woman called out Afridi as captured in the video after which they had an interesting conversation.

A video of Shahid Afridi humbly responding to the old lady went viral on social media on Tuesday. The viral video showed the old woman could not recognize Afridi at the airport.

The woman called out Afridi as captured in the video after which they had an interesting conversation.  “Arey Baita idhar aao, yeh larkiyan keh rahi hain tum Shahid Afridi ho. Aik picture to lelo? (Hello son, please come here. These girls are saying you are Shahid Afridi. Please a take picture with us?)” the woman asked the former captain.

Afridi responded to the request of the old woman and girls and clicked a picture with them. The video was soon released on social media which is being widely shared by his fans and followers across the world.

Afridi gained immense praise on social media for his humility and kindness while interacting with his fans.

 

Earlier, he was seen interacting with his little fans in his hometown village in KP. He posted his pictures engaging with the kids in his village on his Instagram account. In his social media post, he said he has brought his family so that they can better connect with their roots.

“No matter where you live in the world it’s always important to connect with your roots to better your sense of identity. With the family visiting our ancestral village-great meeting the locals, family & to check on the progress of the hospital, whilst indulging on local delicacies,” wrote Afridi on his Instagram account. In a series of pictures posted on his account, he could be seen sitting on a tractor.

In a Twitter post, he said that besides meeting his extended family, he is also checking on the progress of the charity hospital built by the non-profitable organization, Shahid Afridi Foundation.
