The police had to baton-charge the crowd as they tried to break the barriers and enter the court premises. Many supporters and policemen got injured in clashes.

Shahbaz is also accused of working in connivance with other accused in the case and directed LDA to undertake Ashiana Iqbal Project under Public Private Partnership mode.

After about half an hour, the situation got in control. Security has been tightened in and around the premises of court.

The investigations by NAB state that Shahbaz Sharif misused his authority, illegally assumed powers of Board of Directors of PLDC. Contracts awarded to M/s Ch. A Latif and sons for the development and infrastructure of Ashiana Iqbal Housing Project were unlawfully cancelled.

Shahbaz Sharif directed PLDC to entrust the project of Ashiana Iqbal Punjab to LDA, which was headed by his close aide Ahad Khan Cheema. This decision of Sharif was illegal and mala fide as PLDC was the company which was established for undertaking such housing projects.

Shahbaz is also accused of working in connivance with other accused in the case and directed LDA to undertake Ashiana Iqbal Project under Public Private Partnership mode.
