Toyota XLi 2018 is out and you wouldn’t like the price tag

Toyota Indus Motor Company has rolled out the all-new Corolla XLi Automatic with a 4-speed auto transmission. As per local auto publications, the launch of the XLi Auto transmission has been confirmed with an Eco meter. The bookings have started from Monday, 6th August 2018.

New 1.3L XLi Automatic is featured with 4 speed automatic (super electronic controlled transmission), dual SRS airbags, immobilizer, LED clearance lamps, side view mirrors with turn signals. Additional features included ISOFIX child seat anchors, front personal lamp, power mirror control, MID with eco-zone, front seat belts-3 point ELR with pre-tensioner and force limiter, body coloured mud flaps.

Initially, the variant will be available in two” colours i.e. White and Attitude Black and the Moreover, vehicle performance, safety features, braking system, interior, exterior and infotainment system. Previously, there were rumors that Toyota IMC might discontinue its XLi and GLi, however, IMC has revealed different plans with the launch of XLi A/T.

On the downside, the Pakistani franchise has set the price of automatic XLi at PKR 2,019,000 (ex-factory). This is the first time an XLi variant has crossed the two million mark. For the third time this year alone, Indus Motor Company, the makers of Toyota cars in Pakistan, increased their vehicle prices, the difference now ranging from Rs 50,000 to Rs 250,000, GVS reported last month.

Hardly two months prior, the company had raised prices in the range of Rs 10,000-Rs 20,000 in a balancing act against the depreciating rupee.

The company has increased prices of Corolla XLI and XLI AT by Rs50,000.The powerless windows and powerless traction XLI will now be sold at Rs1.94 million while XLI AT has crossed the Rs 2-million mark and will be sold for Rs2.02 million.

Prices of Corolla GLI variants have been increased by Rs 100,000. The price of Corolla Altis 1.6 has been increased by Rs 100,000 while prices of Altis 1.8 MT and CVT have been increased by Rs 150,000. Prices of Grande MT SR and Grande CVT SR have been increased by Rs 150,000 and Rs 135,000, respectively.

Fortuner High crossed the Rs 6-million mark after its price was jacked up by Rs 250,000 and it will now be sold for Rs 6.1 million. Fortuner Diesel will be sold at a price higher by Rs 250,000. Prices of IMV variants have been increased in the range of Rs110,000 to Rs 200,000.
