Prime Minister Imran Khan’s traditional attire captured the attention of many and social media was abuzz with admiration for PM Khan for representing the cultural attire on his visit to the US.
Imran Khan wore a navy blue Shalwar Kameez and waistcoat along with his favorite black ‘Imran Chappal‘ during his meeting with the US President Donald Trump at White House. The national dress of PM Khan instantly went viral on social media during his US visit.

Reportedly, his decision to ditch the suit and wear Pakistan’s national dress was lauded by many and a designer from Islamabad claimed that he had designed Khan’s dress for his meeting with the US president.

However, the Special Assistant to the Prime Minister for Overseas Pakistanis Zulfi Bukhari rubbished the claims and revealed in a tweet that the First Lady – Bushra Bibi – herself bought all the clothes and got them stitched from a simple local tailor.
“The PM has never been interested in designers or worn them. Especially for his simple shalwar kameez. The First Lady bought all the cloth and got it stitched from a simple local tailor. Whichever designer is trying to claim credit for it is not only a liar but a cheat,” tweeted Zulfi Bukhari.

Twitter Users Quip Melania had a Crush on Imran Khan
Following the meeting at the White House, US first lady Melania Trump shared pictures with her husband President Donald Trump and Prime Minister Khan on Twitter.

As Melania shared the tweet welcoming PM Khan to the White House fans started speculations that there was something more going on. In a series of photos, a news website in UK – Express – stated that the first lady beamed while standing next to Khan and Twitter users joked she has a “crush” on him.

Fans were quick to suggest Melania stood rather close to Mr. Khan who didn’t bring his wife with him on the visit, it said, adding many of them focused on her smile and insisted it’s the happiest she’s ever been.
