The women’s cricket team of Pakistan claims a historic win in a T20I series against New Zealand. Pakistan white-washed New Zealand in a two-match T20I series.
Greens shirts pulled a 10-run victory over Kiwis in Dunedin. Pakistan also won the first match with seven wickets, making their first-ever victory over New Zealand in a T20 contest.
Batting first Pakistani team had set the target of 138 runs for New Zealand at the loss of six wickets. Pakistan restricted New Zealand to 127 runs and claimed seven wickets in the second innings. Aliya Riaz, Muneeba Ali, and Fatima Sana were star performers from Pakistan.
Right-arm pacer Fatima Sana claimed her second 3-wicket haul in the match, leading Pakistan to victory. Muneeba Ali scored 35 off balls and Aliya Riaz scored 32 off 22 balls in the match.
Earlier New Zealand had a score of 8-0 against Pakistan. Pakistan achieved a significant milestone as they won their first T20I series in five years. This victory also represents their first-ever T20I series win outside of Asia and Ireland.
