Bollywood actress Anushka Sharma denies the recent swirling speculations on her pregnancy in the industry. In an interview, the actress addressed the rumor-churning mills and asserted that ‘people need to read on something even when there is nothing.’
She expressed her annoyance over the frequent circulation of rumors surrounding her private life. Sharma is on a temporary break from the entertainment industry after her film ‘Zero’, alongside Shah Rukh Khan and Katrina Kaif, failed to register success at the box office.
“Yeah, if you are married then people ask, is she pregnant? They love to read into something when there really isn’t anything.”

She added, “An actress gets married and the next thing they talk about is, is she pregnant? When she is dating it’s like, Shaadi karne wale hai ki nahi? It is crude. You should allow people to live their life. What is the need to jump the gun? Then put someone in a position where they end up clarifying unnecessarily. What irks me is the clarification part. Do I need to clarify? Nahi! But then that’s how it is.”
“Any actress, who gets married… sabke baare mein they’ve said something. Someone could be wearing loose clothes. That is because they are trendy. Nevertheless, they are said to be pregnant. It is like a monkey on your back. You cannot do anything about it. You just ignore it,” concluded Sharma.
Anushka Sharma explained how several other celebrities feel, it is the reflection of every celebrity who feels conflicted for having their private life under extreme discussion on social media.
Anushka Sharma is currently enjoying her vacations with husband and Indian skipper Virat Kohli in Miami. The pictures of the couple having their time out in the diver’s paradise are flashing on social media.

Both the celebrities are having a hard time in their respective careers and perhaps are supporting each other to cope up with the bumps that have hit them previously.
Zero’s Failure
Having put sweat and blood in the movie, Anushka Sharma is dejected with the grim performance of ‘Zero’ at the box office. She played the character of a mentally and physically challenged scientist suffering from cerebral palsy. The film was released in December 2018, and since then Anushka has not signed on any other project. Her time away from the spotlight stimulated an impression that the actress might be mulling over parting her ways from Bollywood.
The speculations died when Sharma addressed the issue in her interview. Anushka Sharma said, “I think I have reached that position and security as an actor in my career where I don’t need to do things or sign films just because I have to fill up time.”
Anushka, who made her Bollywood debut with Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi in 2008, added, “In the past three years I have been working in a very hectic fashion, and have done extremely demanding roles. In one calendar year to do a film like Pari, Sui Dhaaga, and Zero, it is not easy and takes a toll on you. All are different, and required a lot of prep.”
The Zero actress had ventured into production in 2014 and co-produced her own film NH10 with Phantom Films, the next year.

“I want to be able to look back and see what I have done. I am satisfied with the work I have done. I have always been picky and have chosen different kinds of movies and roles for myself,” she said.
Anushka Sharma made her debut with Rab ne Bana Di Jodi opposite Shah Rukh Khan and then featured in notable movies such as Band Baaja Baaraat, Badmaash Company, Ladies Vs Ricky Bahl, Dil Dhadakne Do, Ae Dil Hai Mushkil, Sui Dhaaga, PK, and her latest release Zero.
On the other hand, her husband skipper Virat Kohli is upset since team India, under his captaincy, did not make it to the finals of the ICC World Cup match 2019 after New Zealand eliminated the Indians in the semi-finals. He was spotted having a day out with wife Anushka just ahead of the series against West Indies.
