Ayyan Ali cheers Asif Ali Zardari becoming President for second time

She also shared an old clip of her interview with Shan Shahid in which she praised Asif Ali Zardari. In a rapid-fire round, Ayyan Ali was asked about President Zardari to which she said, “Well very respectfully he is the head of the state. Our president and we all love him.”

Model Ayyan Ali celebrated the election of President Asif Ali Zardari in a tweet on X. In a tweet, she extended her felicitation to President Asif Ali Zardari and cheered him to become the President for the second time.

The post stated “Mornin’ Mr. President. Godspeed and Good luck. And of course not to forget. Ahh well very respectfully, Asif Ali Zardari is the head of state again and we all love him”.

Ayyan Ali was detained in 2015 in a money laundering case when she was caught carrying half a million dollars at Benazir International Airport in Islamabad.

She remained behind bars for four months. Later on, she was released and her name was also removed from the Exit Control list. She was later declared a proclaimed offender by an excise and taxation court in a case involving currency smuggling.

Asif Ali Zardari, the Co-Chairman of the Pakistan Peoples Party, was re-elected as the President of Pakistan for a second term, following a joint session of the parliament and four provincial assemblies on Saturday.

The joint parliament session, chaired by Chief Justice Amir Farooq of the Islamabad High Court, marked a significant political event as Zardari secured another term as the nation’s highest officeholder. This election marked the conclusion of a comprehensive democratic process, which involved voting in the Senate, National Assembly, and provincial assemblies.

The combined results from the Senate and National Assembly showed Zardari receiving 255 votes compared to Achakzai’s 119 votes. In the Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa Assembly, Achakzai secured 91 votes, while Zardari received 17 votes. Zardari garnered 246 votes in the Punjab Assembly, while Achakzai trailed with 100 votes. In the Sindh Assembly, Zardari secured 151 votes compared to Achakzai’s 9 votes. Notably, Zardari received 47 votes from the Balochistan Assembly, while Achakzai failed to secure any votes from the province.
