Pakistan’s social media is brimming with calls for head coach, Misbah-ul-Haq to resign after a shameful defeat and clean sweep in the UK. Social media is filled with strong reactions as Pakistan lost the three-match ODI series against a comparatively weak England team on Tuesday. In the last match of the series, England successfully chased the target of 332 runs set by the Pakistan Cricket Team.
England completed a 3-0 clean sweep. Pakistani fans in UK and Pakistan were highly disappointed as the team crumbled and seemed helpless in front of the England C team throughout the series. It was only Babar Azam that stood out in the last match with a knock of 159 runs. With an absence of a coherent plan to tackle the English side, Pakistan struggled in batting, bowling, and fielding.

Shouts of ‘Go Misbah Go’ reverberated outside the stadium in Birmingham. A video of dejected Pakistani fans went viral on social media. “Misbah and Waqar, please leave us alone,” said one Pakistani fan. “Misbah, I implore you to go and coach a county team or a domestic Pakistani team. Just leave the national team alone,” he added.
Other Pakistani fans outside the stadium said that “Babar Azam is such a fine player. However, the players are on their own. They receive no instruction,” he said. “This is England C. They aren’t good enough for us,” he added.
Upset fans
Pakistani cricket fans said they bought expensive tickets to watch the match in the stadium but are returning disheartened.
Upset fans have demanded the removal of Head Coach, Misbah-ul-Haq, and Waqar Younus from the PCB management. Ahead of the series against England, the instable middle order was identified as the major weakness of the team.
Now, fans say it is the coaching duo- Misbah-ul-Haq and Waqar Younis that has ruined the performance of the players. Bowlers like Shaheen Shah Afridi are underperforming while the rest of the players are failing to play to their full potential. They further commented that players are being selected for the performances in Pakistan Super League (PSL).

Fans fear that Pakistan would be outperformed by other teams in the upcoming T20 Cricket World Cup. They have urged the authorities to come with a viable solution to reinvigorate the performance of players before the world cup.
