The former prime minister of Pakistan, Imran Khan, suffered injuries to his leg after a man opened fire near the PTI reception camp at Allahwala Chowk during the party’s long march. Several other people were also injured, including PTI leaders, and one person died in the attack.

The Joint Investigation Team (JIT) probing the Wazirabad attack on PTI chairman Imran Khan has reportedly found that the attack was carried out from three different shooting sites. The JIT also revealed that the prime suspect Naveed Meher was trained.

On the other hand,  Mian Dawood, the lawyer of the prime suspect Naveed claimed that the incident was ‘planted’ by Imran Khan’s own party PTI.

“Wazirabad incident was planned and has nothing to do with the reality,” Mian Dawood alleged while addressing a press conference in Lahore.

During the presser, the counsel said the JIT did not investigate the matter on merit and they deny accepting its report. The statements of the policemen were also neglected by the JIT in the Wazirabad attack, Mian Dawood said.
