Lollywood actor Moammar Rana joins PPP

Pakistan’s popular actor Moammar Rana has decided to join the Pakistan People’s Party. He called on the Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari and informed about his decision.

Rana expressed his confidence in the leadership of PPP and stated that only Pakistan People’s Party believes in the promotion of the culture and arts in the country. The annual celebration of Sindh Cultural Day is a symbol of the progressive vision of PPP towards the advancement of culture.

Since the entertainment and cultural industry in Pakistan is already in shambles, he believes Bilawal Bhutto has the right attitude to boost the entertainment industry and solve the crisis hampering the growth of this sector. The youth, intelligentsia and those with creative thinking considered Bilawal Bhutto as the only ray of hope that could take the country on the path of progress, Rana added further.

For the welfare of the legendary artists who are facing severe economic woes, Rana has requested the Sindh Government to prepare a project of the pension for non-government and private sector employees and making artists a part of the project.

He said that the members of the film industry will organize a reception for Bilawal Bhutto Zardari next time he visits Lahore. Chaudhry Manzoor, Hassan Murtaza, Shazia Abid, Sadaqat Niazi and other PPP leaders were also present on the occasion.

Moammar belongs to a cricketing family and entered the film industry 23 years ago. He performed in several Urdu and Punjabi films. He also performed in two films in India. He has appeared for few drama serials on the silver screen.

Rana is set to debut his career as a film director with the upcoming movie Sikandar which has been in making since 2015. In June last year, Moammar Rana appeared in ARY Films and Pervez Malik Films collaboration “Azaadi”.
