“I’m concerned about Mickey Arthur [our current cricket coach], we still haven’t stopped grieving Bob Woolmer,” he wrote.

The ‘meme king’ of PTI passed an abrasive joke regarding the sudden death of former Pakistani coach Bob Woolmer. Chaudhry, who is known for takings puns at his opponents, this time failed to woo his followers. Pakistan has already been white-washed by England in the five-match series.

Former coach Bob Woolmer died suddenly in his hotel room after Pakistan was eliminated from the Cricket World Cup in 2007. The minister, however, seemed upset with the consistently poor performance of Pakistan cricket team. It was an unexpected defeat against Afghanistan and another hiccup for the fans of Pakistani team as it has already been white-washed by England in the five-match series.

Fawad Chaudhry is highly popular on social media for his comical style. His memes have taken social media by storm, even so, that the Prime Minister Khan himself could not resist sharing them with him.

Sports journalist, Mirza Iqbal Baig, however, lightened the mood as he commented and asked the minister to suggest a solution on how to improve the performance of Pakistani cricketers in the light of science and technology.

His tweets, however, opened the floodgates of criticism upon the Pakistan Cricket Board’s choice of team and captain Sarfraz and coach Micky Arthur for inefficiency and persistent low-performance from the players throughout previous matches. Some, however, targeted Fawad Chaudhry for passing crass remarks and joking about a sensitive incident.
