Original video clip of Saqib Nisar surfaces after fake audio clip

The original video clip shows Saqib Nisar addressing a public gathering in which he said that” Let me be a little frank about it. Let me be a little blunt about it, be loud about it. Unfortunately, here in (Pakistan), we are getting desirable decisions.”

A Twitter user shared the original video of former chief Justice Saqib Nisar from which the lines were stolen to release his fake audio clip.

The original video clip shows Saqib Nisar addressing a public gathering in which he said that” Let me be a little frank about it. Let me be a little blunt about it, be loud about it. Unfortunately, here in (Pakistan), we are getting desirable decisions.”

These lines made the first part of the alleged leaked audio tape of Saqib Nisar. In the leaked audiotape, a man could be heard saying that in order to make space for Imran Khan in politics, Nawaz Sharif and his daughter Maryam Nawaz would have to be punished.

In the audio clip, the man could also be heard saying that “even though there are no cases against Maryam Nawaz, she would still have to be punished.”

Reacting to the clip, ex-CJP Saqib Nisar denied that the voice in the clip was his. Moreover, he said the audio clip is an attempt to malign his name.

“This audio clip is fake which has been attributed to me,” Justice (retd) Nisar said in response to the clip while speaking to a local TV channel.

Saqib Nisar also refused that he ever gave instructions to his subordinates to send Nawaz Sharif and Maryam to jail.

According to media reports, Saqib Nisar will take legal action against those responsible for the “fabricated” audio clip.

Last week, Nisar had denied the allegations recently made by ex-Chief Justice Gilgit Baltistan (CJB), Rana Shamim as a complete lie.

Earlier today, an explosive report quoting Rana Shamim stated that Saqib Nisar directed a high court to not release Nawaz Sharif and Maryam Nawaz on bail at any cost before the 2018 general elections.

According to the news report, Rana Shamim made the claims in a notarized affidavit. He made the statement under oath before the Oath Commissioner on November 10, 2021.
