Pak Suzuki has introduced the automatic version of Wagon R- Wagon ARG. In the notification issued to dealers, Pak Suzuki informed that the new version of Wagon R includes an Automated Gear Shift Transmission and will feature an airbag. The cost of the car will be PKR 1,890,000.

The company has not listed the specifications of the WAGON ARG in detail but it is anticipated that it will include the spec in other variants.

The AGS model is expected to have standard specifications in the VXL model. These include the presence of an infotainment system with the provision of AUX and USB connectivity. Moreover, it will be having power steering, power windows for the driver and front passenger seat.

The AGS is predicted to have alloy wheels, body-colored side mirrors and keyless entry and immobilizer for safety.

Last year, Suzuki had announced the introduction of the 1000cc Wagon R AGS variant. The decision despite tough economic conditions was taken because Wagon R is the highest selling car of Suzuki in Pakistan for the past three to four years.

Before the introduction of the automated variant, only two manual variants, VXL and VXR were available in Pakistan.

According to a report, the sales of Wagon R dropped significantly in the fiscal year 2019-2020. In the first five months of the fiscal year, the sales had dropped by 72% to just 3,339 units sold compared to 13,341 units sold in the corresponding time a year before.

Suzuki expects the automatic version of Wagon R will be liked by people in Pakistan similar to its success in India. They are expecting Wagon R-AGS to hit high sales in the first few months after the introduction in Pakistan.
