Prime Minister Imran Khan on Thursday took notice of the Islamabad couple’s sexual assault case. He called IG Islamabad Capital Police Qazi Jameel-ur-Rehman and took the details of the case. As per the media reports, he has ordered to investigate the case and punish the culprits as soon as possible.
Reports say PM Imran Khan has ordered IG of ICT to give exemplary punishment to the accused in the case. Police said that the incident happened two months back when the prime suspect Usman Mirza with his accomplices barged into an apartment and shot an obscene video of the couple. Later they blackmailed the couple and demanded money. He threatened to leak the videos in case of non-compliance.

The horrific videos show that Usman stripped the girl. He assaulted the couple and even reportedly raped the girl. Police, however, have yet to confirm the reports of the rape of the girl. There has been a widespread appeal from the Police to stop sharing the videos of the couple.
Police arrests the suspects
All four suspects have been arrested and similar videos of many females have been recovered from the seized mobile phones. Police say they have filed the case against the culprits in Golra Police Station under four different sections that make their bail impossible.
Police have charged the culprits under Section 341 (punishment for wrongful restraint), 35A (assault or use of criminal force to the woman and stripping off her clothes), 506 (ii) (punishment for criminal intimidation), and 509 (word, gesture or act intended to insult the modesty of a woman) under Pakistan Penal Code.

The arrested suspects had been presented in courts and were kept in Police custody on physical remand. Police officers said that one of the suspects had shared the video from a friend who made those viral. After identification, Usman Mirza was arrested and later other accomplices were arrested too.
DC Islamabad Hamza Shafqaat informed the arrest of the culprits. : “He (accused) is arrested. His accomplices are being arrested. Video is few months old. It is requested to please delete any videos with victims IDs,” said Hamza Shafqaat.

In another tweet, Mr. Shafqaat said: “With special efforts of SSP operation Syed Mustafa Tanweer the culprit was arrested. His accomplices are also being arrested. It is once again requested to please delete videos which show the ID of victims.”
As per the details, the flat was owned by a property dealer from whom the boy had taken the keys of the flat. The keys to the flats were also with the six suspects who followed the couple there.

Police say arrangements are being made to take the boy and girl in custody since prospects of suicide and honor killing cannot be ruled out.
According to the details, both the boy and girl have refused to become the complainant in the case as they fear for their life.
