PM Shehbaz pays tribute to Abdul Sattar Edhi on death anniversary

Taking to Twitter, Shehbaz Sharif lauded Abdul Sattar Edhi, saying that people like him truly represent the moral values ​​of any society and restore our faith in the beauty of humanity.

The seventh death anniversary of prominent philanthropist and humanitarian Abdul Sattar Edhi is being observed on Saturday (today). Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif also paid tribute to the late Abdul Sattar Edhi.

Taking to Twitter, Shehbaz Sharif lauded Abdul Sattar Edhi, saying that people like him truly represent the moral values ​​of any society and restore our faith in the beauty of humanity. The Prime Minister also prayed for the great philanthropist on his seventh death anniversary.

“There are people in the world who work for their cause with such dedication and truth that they become the perfect metaphor for it. Abdul Sattar Edhi was also such a great personality who chose the path of service to humanity leaving all other worldly tasks and spent his entire life in it with hard work, dedication and duty,” Shehbaz Sharif said.

“It is people like Abdul Sattar Edhi who truly represent the moral values ​​of any society and restore our faith in the beauty of humanity. I pray from the bottom of my heart for the elevation of Edhi Sahib on his seventh anniversary,” the prime minister further added.

Seventh death anniversary of Abdul Sattar Edhi

Abdul Sattar Edhi, often referred to as the “Angel of Mercy,” died on July 8th, 2016 in Karachi after a prolonged illness. On this solemn occasion, the nation has come together to pay homage to the man who dedicated his entire existence to serving humanity selflessly.

The philanthropist’s charitable journey commenced with a humble dispensary in Karachi, which gradually evolved into the Edhi Foundation—an unprecedented organization providing a wide range of social services, including medical care, rehabilitation centers, orphanages, morgues, and burial services.

Edhi devoted his life to helping those in need, regardless of their background or social status. His foundation’s services expanded across Pakistan, and Edhi’s unwavering dedication inspired others to join his cause.
