Prime Minister of Pakistan, Imran Khan, met two legendary cricketing figures Sir Vivian Richards and David Gower on Monday.

Sir Vivian Richards is a legendary former West Indian cricketer who has been actively promoting the return of international cricket in Pakistan. He is also associated with the Pakistan Super League franchise, Quetta Gladiators.

David Gower is also a famous English cricketer who is in Pakistan for the coverage of the T20 World Cup 2021.

 

Both sides discussed the promotion of national cricket and the provision of facilities and opportunities to the young players. “There is no shortage of talent in Pakistan. The government is taking steps to provide better facilities to young players. Instructions have been given to build playgrounds in each area so that children and youth have access to healthy recreational opportunities,” the prime minister said.

The host and the guests appreciated the performance of the Pakistan cricket team in the T20 World Cup 2021.

Pakistan is set to meet Namibia in its fourth encounter in the Super 12 phase of the T20 World Cup. Pakistan has been putting up a tremendous performance since the beginning of the T20 World Cup while plunging fans and cricket analysts around the world in shock and awe.

Pakistan has become the favorites to win the tournament. In the other group, England has been playing fiercely and has been at the top of the points table. Analysts believe only the Pakistan cricket team can beat England at the moment.
